If you want some driving, up-beat music to add to your playlist, look no further than the Norwegian band Rumble in Rhodos. Since 2003, this crew has been playing danceable indierock to audiences in over 15 countries.

From the Rumble in Rhodos Facebook page:

We have fused a fascination of old fashioned Punk/Funk, Art Rock, 70’s Prog Rock, and modern indie rock into an expression which shakes your core and gently caresses the small of your back.

Their latest release, Signs OF Fervent Devotion, was nominated for a Norwegian Grammy (Spellemann) award for best rock album 2011. While they didn’t take home the statue this past Saturday night, I’m sure there will be plenty of more opportunities for this talented bunch.

In short, these guys know how to throw down a jam filled with hooks and uber-energetic vocals. Fans of Minus the Bear, Mars Volta, and At the Drive-in will dig ‘em. Just take a listen for yourself.

Recommended listening position: At a rockin’ house party with a few hundred of your closest friends.
