Long Lost Friend, the title of the latest album by Husky Rescue, is as direct as you can get. All the songs that band leader Marko Nyberg wrote for it were, in part, inspired by someone he was close to in his younger days but lost contact with in his 20s. And when they reconnected, it was right around the time he was writing this new album. Hence why this song and the rest of tunes that make up Long Lost Friend are tinged with a lovely melancholy as he learned to lament losing touch, to appreciate what joys that person did bring into his life, and to navigate the dusky haze that is nostalgia.
