Highasakite (NO) – “5 Million Miles”

I will walk 5 million miles to be held / When a meteor hits the ground / You’re that someone I want

The Norwegian indie synth-pop quartet Highasakite is back with the sleek, hypnotic ballad 5 Million Miles. The song has all the elements we love about the band — the dynamic layering of Ingrid Helene Håvik voice, seductive melodies, and cinematic vibe — with the added bonus of a brightness of woodblock percussion.

The release of 5 Million Miles follows Highasakite’s recent performance at the Nobel Peace Prize, the band captured the attention of talk show host Conan O’Brien who booked them for a special guest performance on his show May 2 (so set your DVR).

A love song that claims your heart within milliseconds of the first note played, rumor has it that if you play 5 Million Miles about 5 million times it acts as a spell to summon that special someone into your life. Is it true? Only one way to find out…
