Everybody needs a soundtrack. That perfect background music that turns your daily jog or commute into something much more dramatic and daring. For your consideration, I give you this new track from the Swedish trio Birdpeople. This very synth-y, very cinematic new project has their first EP coming soon and have dropped their new single “The Monument” to prepare us for it. The song’s driving beats and darkly pitched melodies feel like it should be the mood music for a dystopian sci-fi flick or some kind of high speed chase. But unless you’re going to rocket into the future or take up a new career in law enforcement, the best you can do is to let this tune turn your day into a noir-ish drama complete with moody voiceover and danger lurking around every corner.
