Anna of the North (NO) – “Money”

Today Norwegian-Kiwi pop duo Anna of the North dropped Money, and it’s a clever sucker punch dressed in electronic beats.

Money goes out to all those fake ass people,” said the band. “Users who use those around them; for money, for status, for fame. S/O to fake friends and gold-diggers.” We suggest sharing Money with the fakies in your life so they can either be offended by it or not recognize the song is about how you feel about them. Fun!

Money joins the already-released singles Lovers and Someone as tracks we can expect to see on the AotN’s upcoming debut “Lovers”, which comes out next month (get yours here) via Different Recordings.

Finally seeing a shimmer of the buzz they (IMHO) deserve, Anna of the North was just featured on the tracks Boredom and 911/Mr. Lonely on Tyler, The Creator’s new album “Flower Boy” (perhaps they met when they both performed at Øyafestivalen in 2015?) and we anticipate their debut will take the world — and fakers — by storm. We say: bring it on.
