Casiokids define the true essence of synthpop, electro-pop, (or whatever the kids are calling it these days) in all it's glory. This crew, hailing from Bergen and Stavanger, Norway truly demonstrate how music is supposed to be fun! With a lineup of Ketil Kinden Endresen, Fredrik Øgreid Vogsborg, Omar Johnsen and Kjetil Bjøreid Aabø, they blessed the stages of Spike Hill and Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, NY during the CMJ Marathon - and we were blessed to catch both sets.

With a musical arsenal of drums, bass, guitars, percussion rig, a bunch of synths, and a pineapple, they pulled out all their up-beat feel-good songs for this adventure with a sound that could turn any room into an instant dance-party. Another things these guys do, which seems to be a commonality with Nordic Bands is that they all end up running around swapping instruments and seamlessly continue to entertain the crowd. When it comes to listening to Casiokids, there's nothing you have to do - simply press play, and enjoy!

James Murphy may have wanted Daft Punk to play at some kids house, but I wouldn't mind having these guys play at my house!
